Hotel NH Puebla Centro Histórico

Had a lovely stay here for a few days. Breakfast was nice Dulce one of the receptionists was very friendly. Overall would recommend

Well-managed chain hotel with excellent front desk reception staff who are fluent in English, friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated with older bathtubs that are challenging for seniors to step into and out of, and a serious lack of plugs for electronics- none at the bedside tables and only two on the desk- one of which is required for the desk lamp. Swimmers who see that the hotel has a pool will be disappointed to find that the pool is tiny and not heated at all- essentially useless. The location is good for fairly easy walking (remember that Puebla is 6000 feet elevation!) to the Cathedral and the main square. The breakfast was excellent, though not actually open at 6 AM as we were told. The staff were still getting organized at 7 AM, and the coffee was not yet ready. Fortunately there is a 7-11 open a block away for take-away coffee.

Good hotel with pretty good location. You are not further away than 8 minutes walking from the main attractions. Rooms could use a bit of a remodel but overall it is pretty good. The room appeared to be a bit under furnished with a lot of wasted space. But I guess extra space is never bad. Had a huge wall that could have had a fantastic view but the window was pretty small. Kind of an odd design choice. Would stay here again. Despite design flaws you cannot beat location and good service.

The staff are very friendly. They have a good restaurant right inside the hotel that is convenient during bad weather. Also the location in the Centro histórico is perfect for walking around to all the best restaurants and historic attractions.

Service are good and fast location is perfect, the only thing that needs to improve is the room, it needs a carpet next to the sink and outside the bath so we don’t leave water outside. I bought myself one at a store not far from the hotel. There’s a lot of dust at every corners. And it needs larger (queen) pillows they’re standard pillows for big beds And people that needs they’re sleep don’t choose a room next to the church because the bell rings at 7am everyday! And the room has no ventilation in bathroom so it can be very humid after a shower. Towels should be change every two days too even if they’re not too dirty it’s just an hygiene thing to do.They don’t change your pillow case so for example I myself stayed 9days so had the same pillow case for 9days, my skin is sensitive, in my own home I change them every 2days. It’s something that needs to be considered. The amount of water that comes out the shower or bathroom in general is really good. Usually in normal houses in the city you barely have water but in this hotel is good, water is always VERY hot. There’s a pool at the penthouse on the top it’s great but very small. It’s not deep, not heated but I was okay with a 21 degrees outside with sun.

For $90 we were very happy customers. Nothing like fresh espresso in the morning and plenty of hot water. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and staff was accommodating. I'd certainly stay again. We took our time and had a late 3pm check out ans enjoyed breakfast in bed which was actually pretty good with fresh fruit and nice presentation. The AC worked wonderfully and for downtown it was quiet at night.

Location of the hotel is in the historic centre and rooms were good. The staff working at the reception need more training as they look confused for everything and issued same room to another guest. Such a big mistake and not apologetic. Being NH franchise they should improve on the attitude of the staff.
